Movie Studios Discuss Ways to Rent Films Over YouTube – WSJ.com

YouTube might start carrying full length movies sometime in the near future says a Wall Street Journal article.  WSJ reports that YouTube is talking to major studios, Lions Gate, Sony, MGM, Warner Bros about charging for titles on the existing YouTube site.  How will YouTube viewers react to actually paying to watch videos, instead of the usual library being free?  Google plans to find out by running tests with 10,000 Google employees for 3 months to see their reactions.

Just another reason to MoCa-ize the living room, especially when YouTube starts supporting HD streaming with it’s new Hollywood buddies.
